Visit Family in Fort Worth

When the rally ended in Ingram, Texas on 4/15/14, we headed north for Fort Worth with an overnight stop at the Lake Whitney Thousand Trails park. We arrived in Fort Worth just after lunch time on 4/16/14. While in Fort Worth we visited with two of John's sisters and three of his cousins. We were able to stay in the driveway of a cousin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fort Worth and were sad when the time came for us to be on our way.
While in Fort Worth we had Herrin Welding fabricate and install a headache rack on the truck
We received our deck from Sunrise RV Products. It's portable.
We were there long enough we took the trailer to empty the tanks. On the return, the trailer tires went off the driveway onto soft lawn and sank. A section of the plastic fence was removed and the trailer was put back in place. Nothing was damaged or scratched and the fence was put back together. No harm, no foul.
While staying at Buddy & Sandra's home (John's cousins) John mowed the lawn. They live on about 2.7 acres.

Back yard and the end of the drive way.
This is where we would spent the late afternoons

Hooked up and ready to roll. Our time to visit came to an end with plans to return in the fall.

  1. Sandra looks a lot like Granny, just without the permed hair.
