On Monday, 2/17/2014, we left New Mexico and entered Texas at El Paso. We had planned to stop for the day just south of El Paso but, as it was only the middle of the day, we decided to continue and stop at Balmorhea State Park. This parks claim to fame is the Very Large swimming pool that is fed by a natural spring whose temperature is between 72 and 76 degrees year around.

| The water enters back over our right shoulder. The center of this area is 25 feet deep |
 |
| The water enters down around the corner to the far right. This near area is headed to the outlet and is 3 to 5 feet deep. |

The RV area of this state park is nothing to comment on. The draw is for sure the pool.
As we did not come to swim, we spent one night at Balmorhea State Park.
On Tuesday, 2/18/2014, we headed to the Caverns at Sonora RV Park to visit the caverns. Upon arrival we learned the caverns tour included 360 stairs - too much for us - and then we found their power was faulty - our power monitor would not allow the power to enter our RV. We moved on down the road to Junction, Texas for the night.

| The RV site at Junction RV Park was very nice. |
For something to do and exercise, we walked to DQ for Blizzards. They were, of course, delicious. We failed to consider the time of day. Did you know that, in the middle of nowhere, when the sun sets it gets dark. No light pollution in Junction, TX. We walked back to the RV park in the dark.
We left Junction, TX the next morning continuing our trip toward Livingston, TX.
