Junction, Texas to Livingston, Texas

We left Junction, TX on Wednesday, 2/19/14, and stopped at Medina Lake Thousand Trails for a couple of days. This is located on the shore of a large lake. However, Texas has been experiencing a drought and this lake is mostly empty.
Sharon backed the trailer in under these trees

The trees are on the edge of the lake. The vast opening past the trees is the empty lake. The trees in the far distance are on the other shore.

there were plenty of deer in the campground.
We left Medina Lake on Friday, stopping for the night at Colorado River Thousand Trails. We don't like to travel too long each day.

Saturday, 2/22/14, we traveled to Lake Conroe Thousand Trails to spend the weekend. We enjoyed this lake resort better than Lake Medina. It actually has water in it. Here we were just killing time and relaxing till it warmed a bit more at Livingston.
Wednesday, 2/26/14, we finally made it to Rainbow's End Escapees Park in Livingston, TX.
Our site for a week
The next morning we started the process of changing our legal domicile to Livingston, Texas. We first had to register our vehicles in Texas. We then had to get insurance on them in Texas before we could apply for our drivers licenses. That was done by Friday morning and Sharon traded her Washington class C license for a Texas class C license. John did a quick, 5 minute, glance through the chapter and took the written exam for a Texas class A non-commercial license - and passed.
We relaxed for the weekend visiting with folks in the park. A couple of ladies visited with Sharon on Sunday afternoon and convinced her she could pass the exams and get her class A non-commercial drivers license.
Monday we woke to the results of an ice storm. That was just wrong!. The steps from the RV were coated with ice as was the trailer, car and truck.
the trailer coated with ice

a coat of about 1/4 inch of ice
We stayed inside for the morning and carefully went out in the afternoon once the ice started melting. Sharon spent the time studying for her written exam. Tuesday Sharon took and passed the written exam for her class A license and we were both scheduled for a driving test on 3/19.
Wednesday we traveled back to Lake Conroe TT - free for us - to wait for 2 weeks to pass.
