On Monday, 3/31/14, we left Colorado River TT RV Resort and traveled to Kingsville, Texas, the town in which John last lived before moving with his family to California.
On the way we stopped at Prasek's Hillje Smokehouse just south of El Campo, Tx to purchase some wonderful jerky and our first Kolache. They are every bit as good as we were led to believe.

After the purchase of our treats, we drove on to Kingsville. We stopped for one evening and drove around while John located the house in which he lived, the schools he attended and the garage where he worked with his dad during the summers. The elementary school is still standing but is not being used.
