On Monday, 10/28/2013, a storm passed through with high winds report as 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 miles per hour. Being in Sand Pit campground, we had sand blowing.

We took time in the afternoon to visit the Brigham Young Winter Home in St. George, Utah. Brigham purchased a home and then added onto it to provide him a place to spend the last 4 winters of his life and oversee the building of the St. George Temple.
