On Monday, 1/20/14, we took the 5th Wheel to Solar Bob's and had 655 watts of panels installed on the roof, 4 Trojan 6-volt golf cart batteries and a whole house pure sine-wave inverter installed in the basement. Well, the batteries are in the battery compartment. It was a long day.

After that we did not use the generators the rest of the week. The sun provided us power which we stored in the batteries until we wanted to use it. The inverter then made 110 volts AC to run the things we wanted to use.
We spent the rest of our time in Quartzsite north of town with the group of HitchHiker owners. We met some folks we have met before and met several that are new friends for us.

One morning while there a balloonist decided to drift through, sometimes coming very low. We enjoyed watching him.
I like the solar panels. Was it very costly?
